Di Capri, la cigale Doha Review

Have you ever nipped out for a quick lunch and ended up staying for a three course meal? That’s what happened for us when we went to di Capri today.

Our original intention had been to pop in for a quick pizza but we were convinced by our lovely waiter Todor that pasta was a better option. So once we decided that we thought we might as well go the whole hog (we don’t take much convincing!).

Firstly we were presented we an amuse Bouche of bruschetta and mushroom puff which were both delicious.

And then the chef sent out some beautiful razor clams

We had decided to share a starter and when we saw the size we were glad we had.

calamari

Calamari is one of my favourites and in my opinion can be one of the dishes that can be most spoilt by bad cooking.  This however was delicious

Wandermust daddy order the veal chop with a saffron risotto which was amazing. I had the chick with a Dijon mustard sauce which was really the star of the show!

To finish we had tiramisu which was the most beautiful tiramisu I have ever seen!

There was the added surprise in the middle of a chocolate ball which oozed melting chocolate when opened. It was truly amazing!

I had never been to la cigale before but I can safely say I will be returning!
