While Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea are easily accessible by Tokyo public transport there is something magical about staying on the Disney site. When we returned to Tokyo to visit Disney Sea we stayed at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo. Here’s what we thought:
Check in at Sheraton Grande
Our time at the Sheraton Grande was cut unfortunately short but the Sheraton Grande did as much as possible to make our short stay magical. Although we arrived very early, they made us feel very welcome and had our room ready in no time.
The foyer of the Sheraton Grande is perhaps the most family friendly hotel foyer I’ve ever visited. There was original Beauty and the Beast playing in a small cinema area, and a playstation and games station set up for older children. No child would be bored waiting for check in at the Sheraton Grande.
While the foyer coffee shop served good coffees at a reasonable price. The cakes looked pretty tempting too!
The Room at Sheraton Grande
The room at the Sheraton Grande was large and spacious and perfectly equipped for families.
One of my favourite features of the room was the Japanese pajamas for all the family. How cute would little ones look in these!
Facilities at Sheraton Grande for Families
The Sheraton Grande Tokyo has a great amount of facilities for families. There is a great indoor swimming pool and in the summer there is an open air pool too. On top of that there is great soft play area for small children. If you every get any down time away from the Disney resorts, your children won’t be bored in the hotel!

Access to Disney from Sheraton Grande
If you are looking for a hotel with easy access to the Disney Parks then the Sheraton Grande is the place for you. There are vintage style buses to shuttle you to your hotel but we chose to walk from the hotel to the monorail (it’s literally just across the road). Disney Sea is one stop away and the Disney resort is less that ten minutes door to door.
Overall Conclusion of Sheraton Grande Tokyo
Overall we were really impressed with the Sheraton Grande Tokyo our only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer.
The hotel is close to Disney as the Sheraton grande Tokyo is actually on the Disney sute with monorail access to the park which is perfect if you want to maximise your time in the park.

I think it is perhaps the most family friendly hotel I have ever stayed at from the facilities in foyer, the amenities in the hotel to the child friendly tile tries and pyjamas in the room. If I go back to Tokyo I will certainly be returning to the Sheratin Grande Tokyo while visiting Disney! If you want to check out the prices of the Sheraton Grande click here!
Be Sure to book your tickets in advance to make sure you avoid queues

How wonderful that the amenities are geared towards kids. That's unusual for most hotels. Love the idea of pajamas for the kids, too!

Sounds like a fantastic hotel. I love how they've provided Japanese pants for everyone, that's quite creative and giving it a nice personal touch. Their rooms also look incredibly big as compared to how rooms usually are in Japanese hotels. Thanks for sharing!

I always say that it's worth the extra money to be closer to the park, so you can really maximize your time there. Not having to deal with driving and parking would make it even more appealing. Sounds like a fabulous place to stay.

I didnt imagine Japan to be so child friendly. How fabulous to be able to go straight from the hotel to the park. especially coming home when the kids are tired. Looks great!

There is certainly no doubt left that it's ideal for families and that kids would have a good time there! I think the best thing is easy access to Disney Parks - I think everyone would love it :)
