It seems like an age since I actually got myself into gear and wrote a monthly round up! July 2018 was such an awesome month in the Wandermust Household that I felt I just simply had to get my act together and get my round up written. So here it is – the awesome things we got up to in July!
Wimbledon
I am a huge tennis fan and every year I avidly follow Wimbledon! Even in Qatar I went to the tennis annually but this year I got to go again to the home of tennis – wimbledon!
You have to apply months in advance for tickets and they are really hard to come by! For those visiting London in Summer I would recommend during the famous Wimbledon queue and taking a chance that you can get ground passes. I have done this on several occasions and even on the years that I didn’t get into the ground I had a lot of fun!
Mayfield lavender
Being floral mad I made a pilgrimage hat every instagrammer in London should make to the stunning Mayfield Lavender! Flowers are still in bloom so get yourself there in August if you’ve not been yet!
Stay at shangri la Doha
I had a relaxing time at one of Doha’s top five star hotels – the shangri la! I’d never stayed before but it is definitely one to be added to the great hotels of the Middle East roundup!
Bloggers meet up in Doha
I also got to meet up with ya of my fave bloggers in Doha – polly at follow your sunshine and Emma from wanderlust and wet wipes!
Flying in a q suite on Qatar airways
Flying out to Doha I also got to try their amazing q suite! This is such a lovey private way to fly and I can’t wait to share a full review!
Eden project
We ended the month with a road trip down to Devon and Cornwall and i got to tick two things off my bucket list! The first, being an avid gardener was visiting the renowned Eden Project! The second was
Seeing Stonehenge!
Ok it was only from the car but I’m counting it!
China fleet country club
During our road trip we stayed at two outstanding hotels – the China Fleet County Club which was a perfect spa break with the toddler in tow! I know you can’t believe it’s possible but I ensure you here it is! More sets coming in August
Soar mill cove hotel
Our second fantastic stay was at the beautiful Soar Mull Cove Hotel where I felt like I’d been swept up in an Agatha Christie novel given the beautiful remoteness of the property.
Visit Penzance
Finally I got to spend some time with my bestie in Penzance! I’d never been before and I can’t wait to share the secret beaches we found there! Having a local really helps!
In other news
In other news I reached the 2000 followers mark on Instagram but would love to get to 2500 by the months end – why not go give us a follow!
What did you do on July?
