Do you get the post holiday blues? We’ve only been back in the UK a few days and I’m already longing for Greek island idylls like this gorgeous harbour at Heronissis on the island of Sifnos. We spent hours here – reading on the beach, taking photos and eating a seafood lunch overlooking the water. It all seems a long time ago now. I haven’t picked up a book since I finished Arundhati Roy’s brilliant new novel in the airport departure lounge. I’ve spent the last few days shopping for new school uniforms, pencil cases and school shoes and trying to get two weeks of holiday washing dry in between the rain showers. On the plus side, one of the boys has decided he needs to make a Death by Chocolate cake so provided he doesn’t cause too much destruction in the kitchen, the day should end well… @youareheresifnos @visitgreecegr @discover.greece @cyclades_islands @beautifulcyclades #ttot

Katja, her three children (3, 8 and 11) and her Instgram-shy husband have recently returned to the UK after nearly 12 years living abroad (Australia, India and Mexico). She’s just as likely to share trips from far-flung lands as she is days out in London and is a firm believer that you can – and should! – take your kids everywhere.

Flying with a baby

Back in Hong Kong after what must be 10 years; this time with kids and hubby in tow. I couldn’t wait to take them on the iconic Star Ferry. I think it features in every movie I’ve seen that has Hong Kong has a backdrop. For the grand price of the equivalent of £1.20 for all of us- a complete bargain and great way to see the skyline. A must do when here. It is pretty hot over here in August but the UK has been surprisingly hotter! Never thought I would say that! #flyingwithkids #familytravelblog #travelblog #starferry #visitHongKong #cityview #flyingwithababy #snaphappyBritMums #travelwithkids #travelmum #travelmom #daysoutwithkids #familyfun #familyvacation #LPkids #familyfuntimes #bringthekids ##jetsetkids #travelkids #HongKong #globetrotter #tmom #familyadventures #familyjaunts @discoverhongkong #discoverhongkong #ukftb #ftb100 #blueskies

It'll also be a special holiday as we haven't seen my family for a year and just cannot wait to splash a big kiss on my little nephews faces 💛 What are you summer plans?
