Best Supermarket near Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is obviously a magical place, but one thing it isn’t is cheap especially when it comes to drinks and food at Disneyland Paris. For those that are traveling to Disneyland Paris on a budget, one of our top tips for cheap eats in the parks is to bring some of your own snacks.

If you want to do this then you are definitely going to need to find one of the supermarkets near Disneyland Paris. This is especially important if you are traveling to Disneyland Paris from London or the UK as since Brexit you are unable to travel with certain food stuffs.

So without further ado here are the best and closest supermarkets to Disneyland Paris:

Auchan, Val d’Europe

Auchan Sign

Auchan Supermarket near Disneyland Paris

Taking the title of both the biggest and the best supermarket near Disneyland Paris has to be the Auchan at Val d’Europe.

The Auchan at Val d’Europe is a two floor superstore. On the top floor you will find everything non-grocery related. For instance, on this floor you can purchase everything from electronics to homeware. Also if you are traveling to Disneyland Paris with a baby, or even if you are visiting Disneyland Paris with a toddler and suddenly find yourself without an essential such as a stroller or formula you can find it up here.

Auchan also sometimes has Disney related merchandise in store on the top floor, which is often a cheaper place to buy Disneyland Paris souvenirs than in the parks.

While downstairs you will find all the groceries. And personally I find the prices of groceries here to be quite reasonable. When we visit the Auchan we usually stock up on plenty of drinks to take into the park, as well as items from the bakery section such as croissants and brioche. This way we can have breakfast in the room or on the go so we can make use of the Early Magic Hours in the park. To find out more about how to use Early Magic Hours check our our Disneyland Paris itineraries.

The current opening hours are Monday – Saturday 08:30 – 21:30 and Sundays has reduced opening hours of 09:30 – 19:30, at time of writing. However please be sure to check the current opening hours on the website before traveling to avoid disappointment.

It is also worth noting too that Val d’Europe is more than just Auchan. It is actually the closest shopping center / mall to Disneyland Paris and also has branches of Esprit, Foot Locker and H&M to name just few.

There is also a large Primark at Val d’Europe which is a great and cheap place to buy clothes for Disneyland Paris such as T shirts and hoodies with the characters on. For more information on what to wear at Disneyland Paris check out this post.

Val d’Europe also has a great array of restaurants for all budgets for those looking for somewhere nearby to eat on a non park day. One of our favorites is the cafe chain Brioche Doree.

How to get to Val d’Europe from Disneyland Paris: Depending on whether you are traveling by car or train will depend on the best way to get to Val d’Europe and the Auchan by extension.

If you have driven to Disneyland Paris, we recommend just jumping in the car and driving to the shopping mall. There is ample parking and it is easy to navigate from the park or the Disneyland Paris hotels. And in my experience usually takes less than ten minutes in the car.

However if you don’t have your own transport do not worry. It is in fact very easy to get to Val d’Europe via public transport, specifically by train. This is in fact the cheapest way to get to Val D’Europe from Disneyland Paris and also the fastest taking less than five minutes once boarded.

All you have to do is jump on the RER A train from the station at the gates of the Disneyland Paris entrance and go one stop to Val d’Europe. Simple!

You could also walk to the auchan from Disneyland Paris as it takes only 25 minutes. However we wouldn’t recommend it. Not because of safety but because it is much quicker to use the train and it is cheaper. Also it is likely you will want to train back with all your supplies, and the return tickets are much better value than singles on the RER.

Petit Casino

Even closer than the Auchan however is the petit casino store located within the chessy train station, which is meters from the gates of Disneyland Paris.

Being in the station, it is relatively small however and is no where near as comprehensive at Auchan. However if it something standard that you are looking for such as snacks like crisps or chocolate, or fruit such as bananas then you might be lucky to find it here.

The prices are not as cheap as the Auchan but if you only need one thing then it might be worth checking whether they stock what you need before you jump on the RER to Val d’Europe.

Last time we were at Disneyland Paris at Christmas, we went here on our last day to pick up bananas and drinks rather than driving back to Auchan again.

The current opening hours are: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 am – 8:30 pm.

Note: there is also a Relay news stand in the station which also sells some drinks and snacks which is worth passing by too!

Esso, outside of Santa Fe

Although not a full supermarket, like the Petit Casino this can be a useful place to grab a couple of snacks and drinks. It is not as cheap as either petit casino or Auchan, as you would expect at any petrol station but it is convenient for grabbing a few bits.

And being just outside of the entrance of the Santa Fe hotel, it can be walked too from all of the on-site properties. Also, as it is a petrol station too, it has longer opening hours than Auchan.

Closest Lidl to Disneyland Paris

Lidl Supermarket near Disneyland Paris

If Lidl is your supermarket of choice, then the good news is that there is a Lidls very close to Disneyland Paris. Located at Ave du Chêne St Fiacre this supermarket is around a 12 minute drive from the park. And for those without a car it can be reached by taking the RER to Val d’Europe followed by a short walk.

This is much larger than the Esso or Petit Casino in the station but is not as large as Auchan.

However if you are on a tight budget at Disneyland Paris then this might be the supermarket for you as it is great for those on budgets.

Currently it is open 8:30 am – 8 pm, Monday to Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am until midday. Therefore just be sure to allow yourself to enough time to visit and shop if you plan to go on a Sunday.

Closest Aldi to Disneyland Paris

Again if you are on a budget but Lidl isn’t your favorite you may be looking for the closest Aldi to Disneyland Paris. The nearest Aldi to Disneyland Paris is Aldi Montevrain located at  Av. de la Société des Nations.

This is only a short drive away, circa. 10 minutes from the park. And for those without a car it can be reached by taking the RER to Val d’Europe followed by a short walk.

Currently the opening hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 8 PM. However like Lidl, it has limited opening hours on a Sunday closing at midday so be sure to time your shop correctly.

Closest Carreforre to Disneyland Paris

One of my favorite French supermarkets has to be Carreforre, however it might not be the most convenient for those visiting Disneyland Paris. There are two Carreforres close to Disneyland paris.

The largest is located at Collégien which is a 15 minute drive away but down the motorway, rather than local roads like those above.

Like the auchan here you can get more than just groceries i.e. electronics, homeware and baby items to name but a few. There is also a petrol station on site.

But if you are staying at Davy Crockett Ranch, you could also visit Carrefour Market Bailly Romainvilliers. This is ten minute drive from the park and just a 7 minute drive away from the ranch. It is also conveniently located for those driving from Davy Crockett Ranch to the parks.

FAQs about Supermarkets near Disneyland Paris

Is there a supermarket outside Disneyland Paris?

Unfortunately there is not a supermarket outside Disneyland Paris in the Disney village. However it is possible to get groceries and stock up on snacks nearby.

Firstly there is a Petit Casino in the Chessy station just outside of security at Disneyland Paris, as well as a Relay News stand. These aren’t great for buying lots of groceries and will cost more of a premium. However if you just want some drinks and snacks these can be convenient places to pick these up.

But the closest supermarket / hypermarket to Disneyland Paris is the Auchan at Val D’Europe. This can be driven too for those with a car at Disneyland Paris or is just one stop on the RER A from Chessy to Marne La Vallee then a short but easy walk.

Whenever I go to Disneyland Paris I always make a stop at Auchan for snacks and groceries as a good way to cut costs.
