Disneyland Paris in December is the coldest month to visit the parks. The daytime high tends to be around 8 degrees and lows tend to be 4. Therefore there is no way that you would want to come off a ride dripping wet into those sort of temperatures.

Therefore due to the climate of Paris, particular in November to February, Disney did not construct any water rides where guests will get soaked because it is just not practical.

However just because there are no water rides at Disneyland Paris where you will get drenched, does not mean that there are no rides at the park which feature water which is what we look at now.

And the final ride that features water at Disneyland Park Paris is the Thunder Mesa River Boat. Personally I always think this is more of an attraction than a ride per se, as it is a normal steam boat ride that takes you on a scenic tour of the park.

Again this attraction is very gentle suitable for any visitor to Disneyland Paris and will not get you wet at all (well unless you are on the top deck in the rain).

Cars Road Trip

Cars Road Trip Ride – water ride at Walt Disney Studios

While all of the above rides are at Disneyland Park, there is only ride at the other Disneyland Paris park, Walt Disney Studios that features water.

That ride is Cars Road Trip. This ride is actually a repurposed and retimed ride from the back lot tour which now features cars characters.

AS with the original ride there is a truck that sets fire, now a Dinoco truck which causes a reaction and spillage of a large volume of water.

I was sat on the edge of this ride with my toddler and felt very few splashes of water. Therefore although this ride features a lot of water you are unlikely to get wet, even sitting on the left hand side of your ride vehicle.

FAQS about water rides at Disneyland Paris

Is there a log flume at Disneyland Paris?

Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris is technically a log flume ride with not one but two drops. However although theses technical a log flume, the drops on Pirates of the Caribbean are quite small and guests are unlikely to get very wet even if they are say in the front row of the ride.

Do you get wet on Pirates of the Caribbean Paris?

Although there are two drop on Pirates of the Caribbean in Paris you are unlikely to get wet. This is because the drops are very small and are not designed to soak guests.

Does Disneyland Paris have a splash park?

While other Disneyland Parks around the world have playgrounds and splash parks, Disneyland Paris does not have a splash park currently.

However several of our favorite Disneyland Paris hotels for families do have swimming pools which include slides and splash areas.

Also for those wanting to stay off site the Villages Natures resort nearby has an amazing pool complex.

Is there Splash Mountain at Disneyland Paris?

ULTIMATE Guide to Disneyland Single Rider Lines – Is Splash Mountain scary?

Although Splash Mountain is one of my all time favorite Disney Rides, unfortunately there is no Splash Mountain at Disneyland Paris.

As on other Splash Mountains around the world such as the one at Magic Kingdom or at the original Disneyland Park, you can get very very wet. Due to the climate in Paris, it would be unsuitable to drench the guests on such a ride and it was therefore decided that they would not build a Splash Mountain at Disneyland Paris.

Does Disneyland Paris plan to open any water rides?

In late 2022, Disney announced the creation of the New Frozen land at Disneyland Paris alongside a new Tangled themed attraction.

While the new Taangled ride, which is yet to be named, does feature boats it looks like this ride will be a spinner ride in a similar vein to the Mad Hatters Teacups in the original Disneyland Park.

Disney also has not been forthcoming about the new details and rides that will be in the Frozen land at Disneyland Paris however I would not expect there to be a water ride where guests to the park will get wet however they could have log flume style ride similar to the Frozen ride in Epcot
