If you are worried about visiting Doha Qatar at night – then don’t! Doha is a safe city even at night! And it is a city that really comes alive at nighttime! The extreme heat in the summer months even means that Doha during the summer is busier by night than by day.

1. The Souq – one of the best places to visit in Doha at night
If you are looking for the best places to visit in doha at night – then the Souq should be top of your list! In my opinion it is one of the best things to do in Doha Qatar.
Definitely not a place to visit in the morning or afternoon because for me the Souq really comes alive in the evening and is the best place to spend Doha nights. Whether you want to haggle for bargains, have an authentic meal (we have a round up of top Souq Waqif restaurants here) or simply absorb the atmosphere of the Middle East then you really have to go at night.

2. Museum of Islamic arts – one of the best places to visit in Qatar at night

The museums in the Middle East as a standard tend to have later openings but be sure to check for current timings.
The museum is a great place to wonder around at night and even holds special free musical events! You can also enjoy the park that surrounds the museum in the cool of the evening all year round! This is one of the best places to visit in Qatar at night no matter what the season.
3. Walk the Doha corniche at night and marvel at the Doha skyline

The Doha skyline for me is the most impressive in the world! One of my favourite things to do is to stroll from the museum of Islamic arts to west bay simply enjoying the view.
And for something a bit different why not try a dhow cruise around the bay for a different vantage point.
4. Restaurant scene
Doha has an amazing restaurant scene no matter your budget! From street eats in the Souq to high end hotel eateries, you will be spoiled for choice.

5. Night desert safari –
Dune bashing is great fun and my favourite time is to go in the afternoon so you can watch the sun set over the dunes.
For something a bit different why not try camping in the Qatari desert.
6. See Doha by Night Kayaking under the stars
and for the more active among you why not try kayaking under starlight either in west bay or in the mangroves. If you are short on time I would suggest staying in Doha rather than going out to the mangroves! The skyline in Doha by night is absolutely breathtaking and what better way to see it than via a kayak.

One of the newest additions to the Qatar Museum scene – the National Museum of Qatar is one of the best Doha Attractions at night to visit. If you want to learn about the history of this small nation then this is the best place to do it.
Dependent on your day of visit the museum is open till 7 or 9pm! It is a perfect thing to combine with a visit to the Souq for your evening activity.

Excellent info of Doha. I was searching for things to do, we have a 9 hours layover; arriving at 4:30 pm and our flights depart at 2:20 am. Do have any tip of how we get to the city center? Thank you!
