What day of the week is best to go to Disneyland Paris?
Best Day to Visit Disneyland Paris
There are definitely good days and worse days to go to Disneyland Paris and it will influence how many days you need at Disneyland Paris. Big factors that affect when the crowds are bigger at Disneyland Paris are school holidays and public holidays in France, the rest of mainland Europe and the UK.
However saying that there are trends to show that certain days of the week are busier than others. If you are looking for the best day of the week to go to Disneyland Paris in terms of crowds then you are best to avoid the weekends.
Saturdays and Sundays are undoubtedly the busiest days of the week to go to the parks and are the days when you are likely to experience more crowds and longer waiting times at Disneyland Paris.
Fridays and Mondays are also busier than midweek days. Many people who travel to Disney don’t want to do just one day at Disneyland Paris. Most people like to do at least two days in the parks however three days for Disneyland Paris is a very popular option. You will therefore find the weekend visitors commonly spill over to Mondays and Fridays which makes these the busiest of the weekdays at the park.
It is also worth noting that in Europe many schools have Wednesday afternoons off. For instance we experienced this in schools both in Amsterdam and Paris. You will therefore find that Wednesday afternoons in Disneyland Paris can be busy with local visitors who come once school finishes at lunch time.
In our opinion the best days to go to Disneyland Paris, if you are trying to go when the park is least crowded and when the Disneyland Paris wait times are at the lowest, are Tuesday and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays won’t have the local visitors because children will be in school and won’t have the swell that comes around the weekend.
Also if you are visiting Disneyland Paris on a budget you might be wondering if there are cheaper days of the week to go to Disneyland Paris. Again the answer is yes there can be a difference in the price depending on when you go (more so for Disneyland Paris hotels than tickets).
However is there any reason to visit on busier days? Potentially yes!
Although the crowds are larger at the weekend you will also benefit from having longer park hours which may enable you to do more even if you have slightly higher crowds.
I would say that if you are looking for the least busy days at Disneyland Paris that Tuesdays and Thursdays are your best best, providing of course there isn’t a public holiday or a school holiday.
After that I would say Wednesday is the next least busy day followed by Monday and Friday and then of course Saturday and Sunday as the busiest day.

When should I avoid Disneyland Paris?
I would not say that you should avoid any one day of the week at Disneyland Paris. However if you want to try and go on a day when there are less crowds you should pick a weekday in the off peak season. If you want longer hours then a weekend would be better (However do double check the park opening hours for your intended dates just in case).
But you may want to avoid going to Disneyland Paris during French public holidays as these can be some of the busiest days int he Disneyland Paris crowd calendar.
The public holidays in France are listed below with the 2023 dates in brackets next to them. This list will be updated for 2024 and subsequent years closer to the time.

European school holidays particularly the French school holidays. You can find more information on this in our best time to visit Disneyland Paris post.
Halloween – halloween season is very popular at Disneyland Paris due to the amazing theming and unique meet and greets. Although the whole season is busy I would say the busiest day does tend to be Halloween itself and the days of the Halloween parties.
Christmas Season – Christmas is the busiest time at Disneyland Paris. The whole of the Christmas season is busy due to the amazing decorations and festive spirit but the Christmas week is one of if not the busiest time at Disneyland Paris. For more information on visiting Disneyland Paris on Christmas day check out this post.
Party days – party days are special events at Disneyland Paris and attract larger crowds due to the limited time nature – as well as Christmas and Halloween the big parties at Disneyland Paris are Pride and New Years Eve.

Is Sunday a good day to visit Disneyland Paris?
Sunday can be a good day to visit Disneyland Paris because it can have longer opening hours. However the problem with visiting Disneyland Paris on a Sunday is that they crowds tend to be larger on a weekend.
However if your only option is to visit on a Sunday I would not let the fact it is a Sunday put you off going.
Is Disneyland Paris busy on the weekend
Disneyland Paris does tend to get busiest on a weekend and the Disneyland Paris waiting times do tend to get longer at the weekend.
However the month of the year you go will also affect how busy each day of the week will be.
